Some mad lads in Germany have cooked up quite the potent workstation, which it aptly calls the Big Boss. The sleek-looking machine is not designed for gaming—it is a workstation, after all—but for 3D rendering and machine learning. As such, it eschews RGB lighting for pure silicon muscle and sports seven liquid-cooled RTX 4090 GPUs to do the heavy lifting. The CPU is a Threadripper Pro 5995WX with 64 cores and 128 threads, also in the cooling loop. All this can be yours, assuming you have over $31,000 burning a hole in your pocket.

The workstation is part of the German company's "Boss" lineup, which includes a regular Boss, Mini Boss, and this here Big Boss. The unique aspect of the build is the GPUs, as they have been detuned only to consume 300W of power each, a 150W reduction over stock. The lower power consumption would undoubtedly be detrimental to gaming performance but should only have a minimal effect on workstation apps. What's especially notable is the power reduction allows each GPU to sport dual eight-pin power connectors instead of the standard 12VHPWR connector, so we're not sure where they got those from. They may be custom boards designed for this company or this market.

According to Computerbase, the Threadripper CPU and the seven GPUs are cooled with four radiators from EKWB and 15 Noctua fans. Based on the photo above, two radiators are at the bottom of the full-tower Phanteks Enthoo Elite chassis, along with the pump. A gigantic 560mm radiator in the front accommodates 4 140mm fans and covers the entire tower length, with a fourth radiator sitting up top. It seems like there are four fans on the radiators at the top and front, then three each on the two radiators below, with one in the back of the case for exhaust.

Powering the entire system are two 2,000W power supplies from SuperFlower with modular cabling and an 80-Plus Platinum efficiency rating. It runs on an ASUS Pro WS SAGE WRX80 motherboard, with 4TB of NVME storage and 128GB of DDR4-3200 memory. This will all set you back €28,999, or about $31,400 in US dollars. Systems take a few weeks to build, but if you're in the market for a ridiculously overpowered workstation, this will likely fit the bill.
